Joint Appointment in the School of Forestry,
and the Center for Environmental Sciences and Education.


Research Interests

Public Lands Policy, Wilderness Policy, International Protected Area Policy, Social Justice and Natural Resource Management.

My research focuses on public lands policy making and implementation. As an associate professor with a joint appointment I work across disciplines and pay particular attention to the natural science -- policy interface. My specific research areas include the Russian zapovednik and national park systems, US Wilderness policy, and social justice issues surrounding natural resource management. My teaching interests include environmental policy, federal lands policy, energy policy and other duties as assigned.
