Welcome to Northern Arizona University. The faculty and I here at the School of Forestry are committed to making your transition as easy as possible. As a new undergraduate student, you may not be familiar with all of the resources and services NAU and the School of Forestry have to offer you.

As a new student you will want to:

• Attend NAU's New Student Orientation. At Orientation, you will enroll for your first-term courses, meet key university representatives, and learn about the resources available to you all over campus. Sign up for orientation by visiting New Student Programs at http://www4.nau.edu/nsp. 
  
  
• Plan to attend the School of Forestry Centennial Campout each fall (this is a mandatory event for new forestry students!). Spend the weekend with forestry faculty and Student Ambassadors getting to know other new students, becoming familiar with the forestry focus areas, and exploring long term career opportunities. Did I mention we’ll be staying at our beautiful Centennial Forest field campus? Welcome to your forest classroom!

Wondering what you can do to prepare for life at NAU?

• Review the New Student Checklists and Degree Progression Plan on our Advising & Registration page.
  
  
• If you are a new freshman, you will meet with Jennifer Tsonis and register for classes at New Student Orientation (be sure to register for Orientation). If you are a transfer student bringing credits from any other institution to NAU, contact Jennifer Tsonis at 928-523-8956 to set up an appointment for advising and registration..
