The Individualized focus area provides an opportunity for students to develop a self-designed focus. Students are encouraged to explore their area of interest with an appropriate faculty member, and work in collaboration to develop a plan of courses.
This focus area requires a total of 12 units, 6 of which must be upper division (300-400 level). The student must then prepare a 1 page written statement describing the purpose and scope of the proposed focus area and have the statement approved by the appropriate faculty advisor and School of Forestry Executive Director.
