Universities have the unique opportunity to prepare their students,
faculty and staff to be competent and competitive players in the global arena by
designing and implementing experiences that provide collaborative educational
and research experiences. Northern Arizona University School of Forestry has a
long and diverse history of promoting and participating in the international
forestry arena. The School of Forestry has faculty and staff members with
experience in research and educational programs in over 31 countries, a diverse
student population, and offers specific educational and research programs
designed to provide experiences for university undergraduate students, graduate
students, faculty and staff.
Northern Arizona University School of Forestry is now hosting the International Seminar on Forest Administration and Management (ISFAM) sponsored by the United States Forest Service International Programs Office. This three week seminar brings together senior natural resource professionals from around the world to engage in an intensive program that promotes the transfer of knowledge, ideas and approaches to improve natural resource management. This international seminar provides a unique platform for university students, faculty and staff to interact with international foresters and hopes to foster future collaborative research and educational opportunities.
