PrintUndergraduate Fire Ecology and Management Certificate
The NAU School of Forestry Undergraduate Fire Ecology Certificate is designed to help fire professionals meet the 401-series requirements while learning information that will be useful in their jobs. The certificate is a total of 15 credits, 9 of which must be taken at NAU. In order to satisfy the requirements of the certificate, all courses must be taken for a letter grade, and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 must be achieved in these courses. In addition, one class must be taken from each of the following areas of study:
  • Fire Ecology
  • Fire Science and Fuel Management
  • Ecology, Biology and Environmental Science
  • Measurement, Analysis and Technology
  • Management, Planning and Policy
